Packing Our Bags

SO much has happened during my little blogging hiatus, and I figured I'd catch you up on all of it! Between life, things with Sean, my internship, and jobs, I was so incredibly busy and had to find some time to sleep. But there is some big news - this little Floridian is moving to the snow!

Annabel Ingall Bag Review

Annabel Ingall Large Isabella Tote Review
Great totes are seemingly hard to come by if you're looking in the under $500 price range but don't want to sacrifice quality. I've had a few totes that got put to the test over the last year; think airplane carry-on, computer & Nikon schlepping bag, and overnight bag too. After a few months, I was finding that the other totes were cracking under pressure - literally.

Hamptons Travel Guide

Things to do in the Hamptons.

With so many little towns on The Hamptons, picking what you want to do during your short period of time while visiting is hard. This was my second summer spending a week in Westhampton Beach, and it's something I look forward to each year now.  Over the last two summers (and with the help of hundreds of recommendations from friends and family), I've rounded up my must-eat and must-do favorites from all around the eastern end of the island. All of my recommendations are going to go a little something like this:

Venue: Town - a little bit about my experience there or what the person who recommended the spot had to say about it! Hope you enjoy!

Long Island Wine Country

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, and Sean and I are lucky enough to be able to do it quite a bit. This past year, we've been lucky enough to visit places like the Bahamas, Disney, Savannah, Philadelphia (even though that meant me flying home without him #longdistanceprobs), Nashville, and now the Hamptons. We budget and save to be able to do things like see new places and do things I like to call "adventuring" once we get there.

Summer Style Staple: White Dresses

 SHOP THE POST

For summer, dressing in white just seems to make sense. It's pretty, it's cooler and doesn't attract heat like darker colors, and I always feel put together in all white. While in the Hamptons for the past week, I realized that everyday I was wearing white on some article of my clothing. After these pictures, I was reminded why someone as clumsy as I am should steer clear of all white... More on that later!

Tassels and Blue Hues

 SHOP THE POST

Well... we're back home and back to work after an incredible weekend in Nashville! That has got to be one of the coolest cities I've ever been to. Every corner had live entertainment and a crowd of people in awe surrounding them. We're already starting to plan our trip back to do all the things we couldn't cross off this weekend.

Little White Lace Romper

SHOP THE POST

I've recently come to love rompers after wearing this one so much recently, so I decided to get a few more that were just easy to throw on whenever I didn't necessarily feel like putting together an outfit. Packing it for Nashville was my best idea yet.

Summer Date Night

Summer date night outfit inspiration.
SHOP THE POST

You might see something missing from these photos... like maybe my date? While Sean currently lives in Philadelphia, we do see each other every 3 weeks and we make it a point to do a date night with just the two of us each time we're together. When he comes home to Florida, between visiting family and friends and trying to do all of the activities he loves in the short time span he's here, having some "us" time can be a challenge. This time for us is really special, so we usually go somewhere a bit nicer and I love dressing up for the occasion!

On Wednesdays, We Wear Rompers

Lilly Pulitzer Deanna romper on blogger Seaside Styled.

SHOP THE POST

There's a lot of things going on in my world right now, so lets do a little catch up! Memorial Day weekend was ah-ma-zing because I shamelessly unplugged and spent time with friends and family back home. Putting my phone down and really being in the moment can be a complete mental refresh. The only downside is that I have zero photos from the weekend, not a single one...

Lilly Pulitzer GWP

SHOP MY OUTFIT HERE:

If we're being honest, I think I've worn Lilly Pulitzer for 10 or more years now. As time has gone on, I've found that though their prints are always full of vibrant colors and fun patterns and they're always different enough to keep me (and the rest of the #LillyLovers) buying more.

Since graduating a few weeks ago, I've found so much time to do things I enjoy. One of the things I've actually been able to do is try new places around Delray Beach and Boca Raton. I don't think I realized just how big of a time commitment taking five classes was at the time. Looking back now, all I did was homework! Finding a new favorite cafe with this adorable courtyard is just what I needed.

Summer Hair Care

SHOP THE POST

I'm not ashamed to admit I've had quite a few up's and down's with my hair. I've gone from blonde highlights (not a pretty sight) to dark brown and back a few too many times, and the recovery process has been tough on my hair. I've spent countless summers in the sun and salt and haven't properly taken care of my hair and I've come to the conclusion that: 1. changing your habits is tough 2. getting your hair to be healthy again is even tougher.

Denim & White Canadian Tuxedo

Canadian Tuxedo with white J Brand jeans.
SHOP THE POST

It's no secret that I love denim. On a typical day you'll find me in a cute pair of denim cut-offs, and when I'm heading out for dinner or drinks most of the time I'll throw on a pair of jeans and a dressier top and I actually feel really put together. I wore this outfit the other day with these shorts and thought, "why don't you just dress it up and not have to change your entire outfit for tonight," done deal.

These photos were taken during 1. Taco Tuesday in front of Uncle Julios in Mizner Park (aka one of the busiest times in Mizner) and 2. Happy Hour. I'm pretty sure people were trying to figure out why I was running through Mizner dodging cars with a photographer following me and not next to them drinking swirls and stuffing my face with tacos. 😂

Class of 2016

White lace Saylor Clarissa dress worn for graduation.
SHOP THE POST

There are a lot of things going through my mind as I walk across the stage this Thursday as a college graduate... First and foremost is the amount of hard work and dedication it took to get to this point, college isn't easy y'all! The amount of laughs, tears (both happy and sad), opportunities, successes, failures, and memories I've had over the last 5 years is enough to add and take off 10 years from my life at the same dang time!

Little Blue Dress

SHOP THE POST

Blogging has been a really fun experience for me living in a new city. I moved to Boca Raton to finish my last year of college in August from my hometown of Stuart. Not only has it connected me to new people (I actually have a few sorority sisters that are bloggers as well), but it's allowed me to explore so many new places I'm not sure I would find if I wasn't blogging!

The Perfect Summer Swing Dress

I posted a little preview to this blog post a few days ago on my Instagram
and talked about my little hiatus from blogging. After 5 (yes, five...) years of college, I'm graduating! I couldn't be more excited to finally be finished and ready to take on a career. That being said, I've got a couple of posts planned for you between now and May 5th when I graduate, but get ready for tons more once I'm finished with school!

I'm all about wearing pinks and reds for Valentine's Day, truly. When I found this gorgeous off the shoulder dress, my opinion of only pinks and reds for Valentine's was changed! This dress is tight at the top of the dress, and at your waist flares out for a flirty look! I think it would be flattering on just about anybody.

These Tory Burch wedges are one of the biggest staples in my closet. I wore them standing all day for Sean's graduation, I wore them standing for over 8 hours a day during sorority recruitment, and can wear them for a night out without complaining about my feet being tired. They also come in black (which I'm seriously considering splurging on because they are tried and true). They come highly recommended from yours truly!

Hopefully you're having a great Monday!

Gift Guide: Valentine's Day for Her

Valentine's Day gift guide for women with gifts from Nordstrom and Shopbop.

1 || 2 || 3 || 4 || 5 || 6 || 7 || 8

Love is in the air my friends, love is in the air! Valentine's Day is such a perfect occasion to go a little more above and beyond for your loved ones (and girlfriends too!) All of the items here are under $200, and half are under $50. I'll brief you on why I love each one as a gift!

1. I'm not sure what it is, but lately I've been obsessed with micro bags! Being able to just throw them on as a crossbody and go is exactly what your favorite girl on-the-go needs!

2. Chanel beauty is essentially the holy grail of beauty products. Lip color is something we all love, but don't always splurge on. Gifting Chanel of any kind is sure to make someone feel special! I love this color, its called Edith.

3. New sunnies are always appreciated, always. These Kate Spade sunglasses are a great price point!

4. Candles are a great gift for moms, boyfriends moms, bosses, etc. We all know our moms love new candles for around the house!

5. Nike Roshe's are a personal favorite of mine. They are so cute for casual outfits with jeans, but are also great to work out in.

6. Cute eye masks are perfect for your girlfriends! Something little to say "I'm thinking of you" without going overboard on spending.

7. I personally love getting new fragrances as a gift, a scent like this new Valentino would be perfect. The packaging is so cute too! Its designed after their Rock Stud collection.

8. I. Love. Kendra. Scott. I'm pretty sure every girl does, so you really can't go wrong. These Dani earrings are Pantone's color of the year, Rose Quartz! So cute.

If you need any ideas for Valentine's Day gifts,  leave me a comment and I'll help you find a gift!

Valentine's Day is hands down one of my favorite holidays to celebrate! I love being able to give Sean little gifts that he wouldn't usually buy himself, and of course his favorite candy (I swear he could eat a 5 lb. bag of Sour Patch Kids in one sitting).

This year we're planning to go out for a date night somewhere local and dressing for the occasion is half the fun! We're forcasted for some chilly weather that evening, so I thought this tapered leather jacket would be a fun twist on an otherwise feminine outfit! I love that you can see both the suede backing and the leather when the jacket is worn. The cut is sooo flattering!

Black and gold accessories were obviously a must for the rest of this outfit. I'm loving my new Rebecca Minkoff clutch, it was one of my favorite Christmas gifts. It comes in a variety of colors and is under $100!

What are your plans for Valentines Day this year? Let me know in the comments below!

Blanket Scarf & Booties

Vest - J.Crew Factory || Top - SEN || Jeans - Seven For All Mankind || Scarf - old, similar colors

This past weekend, Sean and I decided to run away to Savannah for a quick two day trip. We stayed at the Planters Inn on Reynolds Square and let me tell ya... It was so dang cute and walking distance to EVERYTHING. Location to River Street, Bay Street, and all of the restaurants is what really matters when you visit a place like Savannah.
These photos were taken on the square right in front of our hotel and The Olde Pink House.

The food was to die for! Of course I had to find a place with the perfect shrimp and grits, so we ate at Huey's on the River Friday evening. All of our food was delicious and we even ended up having Sunday brunch there! They're actually known for their "World Famous Beignets", sooo amazing.
Saturday evening we at at Alligator Soul, which is the coolest farm-to-table restaurant in a renovated basement. If you're ever in Savannah, its a must. It ranks on the Top 10 for my favorite spots!

The weather on Saturday was absolutely perfect. It was in the high 50's when we woke up, and by the time we were finished with breakfast, it was in the mid 60's and not a cloud in the sky! A jacket would have been way too much, so I went with a vest and long sleeve shirt. This top is incredibly soft, and you can't go wrong with white. I can see myself wearing this time and time again!

I've been on the hunt for new denim that really fits me perfectly (I'm 5'3" and sometimes just don't want to cuff my jeans), these Seven FAM jeans were perfect. I have them rolled here because my booties came up a little high on my ankles, but they're the perfect length for flats and sandals. They're beyond comfortable and have the right amount of stretch in them.

Lastly, these booties are ev-er-y-thing. Living in Florida, I still get hot wearing booties instead of full riding boots. Having the open heel and open toe make them not as hot, and they're great for transitioning into spring!

How did you enjoy your long weekend?!

Wedding Wednesday: Planning A Bridal Shower

Dress - Island Company | Shoes - Old, Similar | Watch - Nixon | Bracelet & Earrings - Loren Hope

Well, it's officially wedding season. Whether your best friend is newly engaged, or you're the maid of honor in charge of hosting showers and parties... this little guide may help you to plan a bridal shower that the bride-to-be will never forget.

I planned and hosted a bridal shower for a friend last year and have been asked about details many times, so here is your guide!

For the shower, I rented all of the linens, tables, chairs, place settings, and umbrellas from Island Party Rentals in Stuart, Florida. After spending hours scouring Pinterest for ideas, myself and two other bridesmaids decided that we would stick with blush, white and gold as the theme. Having all pink table cloths seemed a little baby shower-ish. We still wanted to incorporate the light pink and it just made perfect sense to do that with runners. It was just enough of a pop of color, but kept things very simple.

Next was the fun (and extremely messy) part, glittering the champagne bottles. We found this idea on Pinterest here and the backyard looked like a snow storm when we were finished. [Disclaimer: using spray adhesive and clear spray paint was a DISASTER. Make sure you do this outside.] We found the straws at Matilda's in Downtown Stuart, but you can also find them here at Target.

The glittery champagne bottles and unique mugs were the favors for the guests. We found white mugs at Home Goods and bought 40 of them. Each one was unique which was a really fun aspect, so each lady's favor was a little different. We used gold and pink Sharpies for the lettering, set the oven to 400 degrees and baked them for 30 minutes. Wa-la. Party favors that last and remind you of a lovely day!

One of my most frequently asked questions I'm asked is who catered the party. Instead of doing the usual quiches and breakfast pastries, I found a local caterer that set up an omelet bar.  He brought a full spread of toppings including shrimp, 3 types of cheese, bacon, and tons of vegetables! Brian at Cuisine 256 was who we chose, and it was absolutely perfect.

Harbour Bay Florist arranged the floral centerpieces, and to keep with the color scheme we chose hydrangea, lilies, and pink roses. The ladies at Harbour Bay took care of the rest and guests loved being able to bring such beautiful arrangements home!

If you have any questions about the details, please don't hesitate to ask!
