20 Minute Make-Up Routine

20 minute make-up routine products.

Time is without a doubt of the essence in the mornings when getting ready for work for me. From the time I wake up to the time I'm out the door, it's about an hour all said and done. That being said, I've gotten my daily make-up routine (when I personally feel my best without being "prom ready") down to twenty (yes, 2-0) minutes!

I'll link & give you colors of all of my daily products below!

Sigma F80 brush used for applying foundation.

I'm really lucky to have clear skin and don't have to do too much to it as far as cleansing and an over the top routine. I'm getting to the age where I'm starting to see small lines and my skin is losing its elasticity, but so much of that comes from 23 years of sun damage.  Within the next year, I want to lock in something that will help with anti-aging, but in the meantime, my skincare is pretty simple.

My morning starts by washing my face with Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser. I've used this cleanser for about a year and love how gentle it is on my skin! When my skin is dry (like it has been in the winter), I'll use Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner to add some moisture to my skin before applying Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream. I bought my lotion first thing when I moved to Minnesota, and I haven't seen an ounce of dry or flaky skin on my face since I started using it. The lotion serves as my base before applying my foundation.

Sigma brushes are my absolute favorite brushes, but I only have a few. I splurged on my foundation brush, the Sigma F80, and am thankful I did! I use a few pumps of Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation (I wear no. 4) and stipple the foundation on my full face and blend down into my neck.

IT Cosmetics Bye-Bye Under Eye in morning routine.

It Cosmetics Concealer.

Next, I use the tiniest bit of It Cosmetics Bye-Bye Under Eye and rub my fingers together to spread it out and apply it in an upside down triangular shape under my eyes. Using a wet Beauty Blender, I blend out the concealer from under my eyes.

Little Tip: I always have a little leftover concealer on my fingers from my under eyes. I spread the remnants around my nostrils to conceal any redness or imperfections.

Favorite morning make up products.

Best lightweight translucent setting powder.

I always take the time after foundation & concealer to make myself some coffee and let my make up set before further setting it with Kat Von D Setting Powder with a large fluffy brush. Make sure when using a powder to set your make-up that you knock off any extra product before softly pressing the powder into your skin. The setting powder helps to mattify your foundation and set it for all day wear.

Best products for amateur contouring.

After I put almond creamer in my coffee (this allows for yet - more setting... woo patience!), I use Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer and another really fluffy brush under my cheek bones to create a light shadowing effect before using Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and a MAC 109 brush to further contour my cheek bones. I finish my contouring with Too Faced Candlelight Glow across the top of my cheek bones.

My fall/winter blush this year was MAC Plum Foolery, which was surprisingly lighter than in the compact.

Easy no-fuss brow routine.

I previously used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow, which was great for having to fill my brows when they became REALLY thin. Fun fact about me: I used to work full time for a Certified Public Accountant and when I was stressed, would rest my hands on my eyebrows. Needless to say, by the end of my first tax season in accounting, I almost didn't have eyebrows.

My brows & I are in a much better place now and I love the ease of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. 😏 I comb my brows up so I get some sort of arch with ABH Clear Brow Gel after I fill them in.

20 minute morning make up routine.

There's really no secret to my eye routine. My eyeshadow is MAC Woodwinked, I useVoluminous Million Lashes then Volume + Length Magnified on my lashes, and sometimes line my lids with any black liquid liner pen. Super simple, no fuss!

For this post (and a few you'll see after this), my lip color is MAC Modesty and my liner is MAC Morning Coffee. Such good rosy-nude colors!

I'm thinkingggg (major shot in the dark), I may try and do this as a video tutorial someday! Major maybe.

Hope you enjoyed my favorite products & what I use in my 20 minute morning make-up routine!
